If you’ve never heard of overnight oats before, here is a brief explanation. Overnight oats are a no-cook method of making oatmeal. Instead of cooking your oats with liquid on the stove or in the microwave, you mix rolled oats with the liquid and other mix-ins, and let it rest in the fridge overnight.
In the morning, you have a pudding-like porridge that is perfect for easy grab-and-go breakfasts. It doesn’t have the same texture as hot/stove-top oats. It’s creamier, denser, and in the opinion of many, so much tastier.
There are a million-and-one recipes and methods for making overnight oats out there, so we are going to suggest one, for now.
Flat-Belly overnight Oats
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 teaspoon chia seeds
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1/4 cup yogurt
1/4 pineapple, chopped (fresh or frozen)
1/4 cup blueberries
1 tablespoon chopped almonds
- Add the ingredients in the order listed to a small mason jar.
- Place in the fridge overnight.
- In the morning, mix it all together and enjoy cold or warmed up in the microwave.
