You know what they say about apples… one a day, keeps the doctor away. Sure, the health benefits are amazing and numberless, and the best thing about them is that they’re so versatile.

You can use apples in everything from savoury recipes like burgers (that’s right!) to a trendy apple-cinnamon pie and just about everything in between. And because there are so many different varieties, you’re sure to find one that suits your every need.

Whether you’re pairing a tart Granny Smith with creamy blue cheese or using a few Gala to make fresh donuts, there’s an apple out there for you. Here’s an idea! Have you ever tried a Smoky Apple Sage Chickpea Veggie Burger? These sweet and savoury chickpea veggie burgers are infused with smoky flavour and bits of juicy apples. Add 1 medium apple, peeled and shredded (choose a sweet variety such as Gala or Cortland) to a veggie burger preparation and continue with your burger preparation.  Use tomato, lettuce and avocado as a topping!
